Bromeliad Cryptanthus 'Elaine'

Cryptanthus ‘Elaine’ is a colorful clone of Cryptanthus fosterianus. The leaves are chocolate brown with silver bands and hot pink margins. Reaches 18” tall to 24” wide at maturity, produces pups at base of plant. Cryptanthus are commonly referred to as “Earth Stars”. Keep the soil damp at all times. Prefers bright indirect light, will tolerate a bit of early morning or late afternoon direct sun, midday sun can scorch the leaves. Protect from temps below 40F.
