These trousers from Buzz Rickson's take inspiration from the U.S Army's Denim Working Trousers and imagines them as garb that civilian laborers, namely painters, could've worn.

The silhouette is true to the original's high rise and relaxed straight leg. The unique details, like the cinch back and large front patch pockets, are the same as well. The main departure from the military version comes in the trousers' fabric. In place of denim, these trousers are cut from a lightweight natural cotton twill, with a nice bit of texture and nep from the cotton seeds.
