Medinilla serpens

This Medinilla can be grown as a vine or ground cover. Foliage emerges a beautiful bronze and matures to deep dark green.  The accepted species name is Heteroblemma serpens. Flowers well in containers and hanging baskets indoors in bright light and outdoors in shade to dappled morning sunlight. 

*Note to Customers: Medinillas excrete small, round, semi-translucent grains known as "growth sugars". These growth sugars are completely harmless to the plant and having growth sugars present is actually a tell-tale sign that the plant is healthy and thriving in its current growing conditions. These can be removed with a damp cloth and standard dish soap if you prefer.
