Orchid Ludisia discolor var. nigrescens

The new cultivar of the standard Ludisia discolor Jewel Orchid showcases dark, chocolatey leaves with a single mid-vein of silver. Very striking collector's plant!

Bright, indirect light is ideal, avoid direct sun, which will scorch the leaves. Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil is dry, avoid overwatering which can lead to root rot.  Feed your jewel orchid a diluted balanced orchid fertilizer every 2 weeks during the growing season, be careful not to over fertilize which will damage roots. Pinch tips to encourage a bushier growth habit. Jewel orchids need high humidity, they are perfect for terrariums!
